Many of these sellers are predators taking advantage of various importation loopholes to bring in illegal and unsafe camper trailers.
Some are brought in as ‘garden tubs’ – which conveniently house axles and wheels, and will be assembled in a suburban warehouse and sold as ‘Australian built’. Some of them will simply import the cheapest produc
t available with no regard for Australian Design Rules, and sell it as an offroad camper.

Thanks for the advice, ill share this to my fellow campers..:)
One thing is for sure. A poorly made trailer is going to show it’s faults at the worst possible time. Usually in the middle of nowhere after taking a battering along a couple of hundred, corrugated, kilometres of gravel.

Hi,
I was looking to buy a Leasure Matters camper through the Perth dealer.
Can anyone tell me if the quality has got better in recent times or are things still in a bad way.
Thanks.
Steve
Just a quick one Steve. I brought through the Perth dealer (early 2014. Product was crap, after sales service in Perth was crap. I imagine you have already moved on and brought a trailer, but if anyone else is asking the same question, this is my answer.
